First of all: Well done to you all! I can imagine that with the recent changes that happened your routine may have been a little challenging. However I hope you are enjoying spending time with your family, hopefully enjoying the sun too and especially loving some French!
On this note, here is this week’s assignments. Youpi! (as French people say). And to start this second week of remote learning fun I am adding a new feature “Hangouts”.
“Hangouts” is the messaging platform from Google suite that teachers are using to correspond with their class. I have created a new conversation called “Français 2024” (since you will be graduating in 2024) where you can ask any questions you may have regarding the assignments or anything related to French. I would greatly appreciate if you could please keep this platform for anything related to our French classes.
A reminder, FOLENS, the publishers of your French textbook are making the ebook available to all, in case you don’t have it. Here are the instructions:
- Go to FolensOnline.ie and click register

Do the following activity (or activities). A1 level activities are for beginners, A2 are a little harder . There are four exercises per activity, explanations are at the top and the correction of each exercise is given to you once you click “Ok” at the end. This exercise is a good opportunity to widen your vocabulary by adding some words you find useful in your copy.

Duolingo:
Practice Duolingo for 10 minutes everyday or for 20 minutes every two days. Remember you can do so with the Duolingo App or from any laptop/computer.
Bienvenue en France 2:
Study pages 89 and 90 + do the first blue box p90 in your copy + do the second blue box p90 online. That is to say type your answer in a google doc that you will upload in the “Written production” section on Google classroom in the “Postcard (blue Box p90)” assignment. This way I will be able to correct it for you. Make sure you do the work as you will have personal reflection work to do about it next week.

Do you remember the recipe you prepared as a French homework? Well, this week I would like you to make this recipe for your family! If you have already done so, find another easy French recipe you will be making for them. It could be a simple dish for lunch, dinner or breakfast or a cake some pastries, etc. Next week you will have an activity to do about your experience of “being a French chef” make sure you keep track of your sources (Youtube video, name of website where you found the recipe, etc.).
CBA1:
Some of you were wondering about the CBA1 and how to present it. At the moment there has not been any information released about it by the department of education about it therefore all you can do for now is prepare yourself for it. This is why this week’s assignment about the CBA1 is:
If you have decided to work as a group:
Upload your preparation work (google doc I asked you to create last week) in the “CBA1” section on Google classroom in the “CBA1 preparation work” assignment. Keep on preparing your work remotely. That is to say create a role-play if this is what you choose to do. If you would like you can also practice it on your own or as a group through the “Hangout” video call feature of Google suite.
If you have decided to work on your own:
Upload your preparation work (google doc I asked you to create last week) in the “CBA1” section on Google classroom in the “CBA1 preparation work” assignment. Make sure keep on preparing your work on the google doc. If you have decided to make a presentation you should start creating this presentation using Google slide, Prezi or any other programs.
